Paul got the bracing done. We needed a lot of extra bracing and blocking so the platform (and yurt) will be able to handle our winds.
After that was done, and my eye was feeling better, we moved on to the insulation. I wore my giant safety goggles and was able to help measure the insulation, but cutting and fitting it was all up to Paul. We learned that foil in the sun is blinding and HOT – we were pretty cooked up by the end, but we got most of it done this weekend. Paul finished it up at 6:30 this morning before heading in to work.
It’s like a giant mirror, it must look very strange, and bright, from passing planes.
I’m really excited to get the floor put on! We just have to figure out what to seal it with…
